Remain in Him

Our big group meeting this past Thursday! The Lord is still moving! So much is up in the air right now. So much uncertainty and fear. No one expected for life to look this way this year and for all the changes that were to come. As we have been forced to slowdown and readjust to these new realities, God has been gently reminding me that He is the one who is in control and sustains us. It was never me. It was never you. It was never our government. We are not sovereign over this virus but God is. He is in charge in the midst of this chaos and He is moving. Combined core worship night! 10  When you have eaten and are satisfied,  praise the  Lord  your God for the good land he has given you.   11  Be careful that you do not forget  the  Lord  your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.   12  Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down,   13  and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,   14  then your heart will become proud and you will forget  the  Lord  your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Deuteronomy 8:10-14 This past week our core combined with a guys core to do a joint worship night. The evening was all about remembering God and what he has done for us. We sang worship songs, had worship stations and got to share what God taught us that night. At one of the stations we read Deuteronomy 8 and reflected on what God has done for us. (
